A leaking skylight on this two-story Dublin home had allowed enough water in to damage the wood surrounding it, making proper repairs an important part of the roof replacement.

Roofs By Warren removed the old roofing and discovered rotten roof decking around the skylight area. The damaged wood was replaced before installing the new roof and replacement skylight.

Because skylights are a common source of roof leaks when they are not properly sealed, careful flashing was installed around the new skylight to help direct water away and protect the opening. The steeply pitched roof was then completed with CertainTeed shingles in Moire Black.

The result is a new roofing system with the hidden wood damage corrected and the skylight properly replaced and flashed to help prevent future leaks.
